In this advert from 1965 Braniff Airways set out its claim to creating ‘the most beautiful airline in the world’. Whether that claim was true is down to opinion, but they were the most colourful in terms of design and attitude, as you can see with the airline’s Emilio Pucci uniforms, a variety of aircraft paint schemes, seven different interior colour schemes, and even space helmets to keep cabin crews’ hair dry. Just glorious!
