The Sustainable Design Summit (SDS) has announced its transformation from an annual in-person event into a year-round platform for discussion of sustainable design. The show’s new format has also expanded its audience to include all hospitality travel interiors, including cruise, aviation, hotel and resort, and now also rail and automotive.
Working Groups will take place throughout the year and are available to those working in the hospitality travel interiors sector. The sustainability trends discussed, and the questions raised, in each Working Group will inform the topics and session host of the following Working Group, creating a conversation that evolves in step with the participants’ knowledge. SDS Working Groups will include in-person events in Miami and London.
The first Working Group will take place online on 24th April in the session titled ‘Impact analytics + 10 ways to use your data to drive sustainability improvements’. Attendees will drill down into the practical applications of data analysis and how to partner with suppliers to improve environmental outcomes. This session includes a project spotlight from a leading hotel brand on the success factors of their recent sustainability projects.
While the Summit moves to a bi-yearly schedule, SDS will curate annual in-person galleries showcasing next-generation sustainable products and solutions from interiors suppliers working within the hospitality travel interiors industries. The 2024 Product Showcase will be located at CSI Design Expo Europe, at ExCeL London, on 5th and 6th December. Visitors to the Product Showcase can expand their library of sustainable materials and develop connections with suppliers that can help them achieve their sustainability goals.
