TUI Group has awarded a four-year contract to MAC Aero Interiors for the refurbishment and retrofit of 20 lavatory units on its Boeing 767-300 fleet. The agreement will see MAC Aero Interiors develop and produce new lavatory kits, containing LED lights, mirrors, Corian worktops, new floor pans and other elements.
The kits for the first two aircraft will be produced in 2019, with the remaining aircraft to be fitted in 2020. Following the delivery, MAC Aero Interiors will support the refurbished aircraft with lavatory spare parts supply and maintenance.
“Being the largest leisure and tourism group in the world, TUI Group puts a great emphasis on travelers’ comfort and pleasure. We are happy to contribute to the task by providing the group’s fleet with a fresh and modern design for the aircraft lavatories,” stated Max Levy, COO of MAC Aero Interiors.
All the kits will be provided with EASA Form 1 and Service Bulletins, as well as installation instructions in order for the customer to be free in choosing an MRO to carry out the modifications. During the installation works MAC has agreed to provide additional support to both the customer and its MRO, if needed, and to ensure parts supply afterwards.
