Surinam Airways (SLM), based in Suriname, has signed a contract with Moment, a French IFE technology company, for the Flymingo Box system. The Flymingo Box wireless IFE system is based on a portable server with the capacity to stream a catalogue of 10,000 hours of content to 100 passenger devices simultaneously.
The technology does not require an app, so passengers will be able to enjoy Surinam Airways’ DRM-protected content directly from the browser on their personal devices. Moment will also be responsible for the acquisition of content for Surinam Airways’ wireless IFE and Panasonic seat-back screens.
