IFE and cabin electronics specialist, Rosen Aviation, has launched an in-seat audio system for commercial, VIP and business aviation cabins, bringing high fidelity and spatiality, along with active noise cancellation.
Rosen partnered with renowned audio engineer Laurence Dickie, co-founder of Vivid Audio, designer of the famous Nautilus loudspeaker, with the aim of bringing a true audiophile experience to the passenger experience.
The audio system leverages newly patented technologies in sound-wave propagation to produce life-like sound and music that the company says accurately recreates tone, timbre, and spatiality.
Rosen notes that essence of the system relies on simply getting the foundation right, and that high-quality audio systems are not simply software add-ons that can be applied to any speaker or amplifier.
Lee Clark, senior vice-president, strategy, at Rosen Aviation said of the system: “The steady increase in demand for truly high-end audio has been gaining momentum in commercial and VIP aviation over the past decade, and we now have a truly unique approach that offers passengers a next-level experience. Existing solutions are still far from what customers can experience in their car, let alone at home, and Rosen’s system represents a culmination of hardware and software that will ultimately create a new paradigm in inflight audio capabilities.”
