Italian leisure airline, Neos has announced that it is now offering Viasat’s inflight connectivity service on its’ fleet of three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The service gives Neos passengers on these aircraft access to Viasat’s satellite communications systems in North America, reaching to the Caribbean and tip of northern South America, over the Atlantic Ocean, throughout Europe (via a jointly-owned satellite), as well as future connection with the ViaSat-3 satellite constellation, which is currently under development.
In addition to access to Viasat’s high-capacity communications satellite, Neos will also work with Viasat on developing a customized portal, a passenger-friendly interface for connecting to the onboard wi-fi system.
