Satellite operator and inflight connectivity (IFC) provider, Intelsat, has expanded its partnership with SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (JSAT), to include the use of its next-generation JCSAT-1C high-throughput satellites (HTS) over Japan and Asia. The region is one of the fastest-growing markets in terms of air travel, and the partners say the deal will give customers in its airspace access to faster internet connection speeds onboard.

This capacity in particular will allow Intelsat to continue providing best-in-class in-flight connectivity over Japan for years to come.”
