Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), the annual event where airlines, industry suppliers and cabin interiors professionals converge to shape the cabins of the future, will return on 8-10 April 2025 at Hamburg Messe.
The event will once again bring together big names from the cabin interior and inflight entertainment (IFE) industries, who will showcase their products, services, concepts and innovations to airlines, leasing companies and business jet operators. All aspects of the cabin, from lighting, seating, lavs and galley equipment, to cabin management systems, IFEC hardware, communications and more, will be showcased at the exhibition.
Following the success of the 2024 expo, which attracted 12,000 professionals from around the world (a 22% increase on 2023’s visitor numbers), plans for the 2025 show are well underway. According to RX Global, the event organiser, AIX 2025 will continue to build on the key themes of 2024, including passenger experience, cabins of the future, accessibility and sustainability.
Where cabin concepts take off
A popular feature of AIX week, the Passenger Experience Conference (PEC), will take place in the A-Halls of Hamburg Messe on Monday, 7 April, the day before the doors of AIX open. The full day programme will feature high-profile industry leaders from several sectors across the supply chain, who will explore the most pressing issues and trends shaping the passenger experience. Past speakers from PEC have included representatives from the likes of Recaro Aircraft Seating, Safran Cabin, Collins Aerospace, Delta Air Lines, and Air Canada. The full programme for PEC 2025 will be published in January.
In addition, attendees of both the conference and AIX can maximise networking opportunities at the Welcome Party after PEC on 7th April, which offers a relaxed environment to build new connections and share thoughts after the day’s conference.
Stay ahead of the growing market
Another learning opportunity is CabinSpace Live, a theatre space within AIX where visitors can engage with the industry’s leading experts, innovators and thought leaders to explore the aircraft cabin of tomorrow and beyond.
The 2025 seminar programme will offer three days of sessions and panel discussions, sharing insights and case studies on topics such as inflight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC), commercial airline and business jet interiors, sustainability, accessibility, and more.
The latest in connectivity
AIX is a great place to see and try out all the latest IFEC innovations in one place – indeed it has a dedicated IFEC Zone. For AIX 2025 the zone will showcase the sector’s latest innovations, with industry-leading exhibitors – expect companies such as Panasonic Avionics, Rosen Aviation, IFPL, Imagik, AERQ, Astronics, Hughes, Inflight Canada, Intelsat, Thales, Viasat and Safran – each showcasing the latest innovations in hardware, software, digital tools, and connectivity that will enhance inflight entertainment, connectivity, and overall operational efficiency.
The IFEC Zone will showcase advancements in areas such as big data and analytics, cabin management systems, in-seat power and audio products, seat-back displays, and wireless IFE platforms, serving as a hub for airline decision-makers to find solutions that enhance inflight services and passenger satisfaction. Key discussions will focus on improving onboard experiences across topics such as digitalised cabins, reducing carbon footprint, and the rising demand for passenger-friendly in-seat systems that support devices and offer personalised content.
The ultimate meeting place
With over 400 companies typically exhibiting at AIX, plus a wide range of events on offer, visitors need to plan their time to make the most of the event. A useful tool is AIX Connect, a show planning tool that enables exhibitors and attendees to proactively schedule meetings with key contacts ahead of the event. An intuitive search function in the app helps both visitors and exhibitors discover new connections based on personalised matchmaking, and to arrange meetings before arriving in Hamburg.
During last year’s event AIX Connect was used to facilitate many meetings, enabling attendees and exhibitors alike to build valuable business relationships, explore new projects, and meet the industry’s growing demand for collaboration.
Archana Dharni, the new event director for AIX, said of the 2025 lineup: “It is exciting to announce that AIX 2025 is back in April. AIX is the essential meeting place for the aircraft interiors world, where the future concepts are first discussed and the challenges facing the industry are debated. AIX and PEC will continue to provide and unparalleled platform for airlines, designers, engineers, specifiers and manufacturers to find new solutions and forge powerful connections.”
Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) will take place in Halls B1-B7 at the Hamburg Messe in Hamburg, Germany, from 8-10 April 2025. The event will be co-located with the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) in Halls A1 and A4, following the Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) on 7 April.
