After an intensive search for a seasoned expert, aviation thermoplastics company, Sekisui SPI has appointed Bernie Allen as its vice president of marketing. One of Allen’s key goals will be to help customers influence emerging markets such as automation and robotics by connecting industry innovators and Sekisui SPI’s appLab and designLab innovation centres with the supply chain, enabling clients to collaborate with designers, OEMs and thermoformers.
“I am excited to have Bernie open up our cabinets full of educational and communication materials to our customers in a more effective way by connecting our customers and industries to our vast array of design, technical, and innovation materials,” stated Ronn Cort, resident and COO of Sekisui SPI.
Allen has 20 years of experience in marketing management of global manufacturing, including product marketing, trade advertising and consumer-focused campaigns. “Over the past two decades, I have helped multiple manufacturers connect with their customers and identify ways to create meaningful partnerships. A big part of my focus at SPI will be learning what our customers need and developing resources and marketing services to exceed customer expectations.” explained Allen.
Educated in Mass Communications and Media Technologies at King’s College, London, Allen has held management positions in international marketing, internet marketing, media marketing, and has served as director of marketing. Career highlights include establishing marketing strategies for new international subsidiaries, evolving North-American marketing for his product categories into industry leaders, expanding and refining tradeshow presence, and creating social media footprints for brands.
Allen’s inteersts include social responsibility, football coaching and sponsoring multiple causes including the ALS Association and Muscular Dystrophy Association.
