It is with great sadness that we report the recent death of Angus King, the sales director for Thomas King Associates, a family-run business in the UK that specializes in aircraft interior products supply. Angus started work in the business in 1999, joining his parents Tom and Veronica, who had been in business since 1979. Angus worked with airlines, MROs, galley and monument manufacturers and aircraft manufacturers worldwide.
Angus and his brother Duncan took over the running of TKA when their parents retired and were often referred to in the industry as the “King Brothers”. Angus sadly passed away after a short illness and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and customers.
Many industry professionals will remember Angus at the many exhibitions he exhibited or attended, such as Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. Away from work, Angus was a keen golfer and was at one time a top amateur golfer with a scratch (zero) handicap. He won many trophies and had played county team golf for his local county, Bedfordshire. His finest moment came in 1990 when he qualified as an amateur to play in the final qualifying for the British Open held that year in St Andrews, Scotland.
The world of aviation has lost a talented business person and a true gentleman.
