Paul Wylde, founder of the California-based Paulwylde brand, innovation and design consultancy, has been announced as the opening keynote speaker at the Passenger Experience Conference. He will deliver the keynote on the topic of ‘Renewal and Revolution’ on Monday, 13th June 2022 at Congress Center Hamburg (CCH), during which he will explore opportunities that the post-pandemic environment presents for travel and service brands.
Wylde has enjoyed a broad and varied career, with projects spanning brand strategy, experience design, brand identity design, communications, service style and food & beverage design. In the past, he has worked in leading design roles for British Airways, BMW, Boeing, Interbrand and Frog Design.
Wylde’s address will feature in the opening plenary session of the conference, which will focus on the vital role that the passenger experience community will have to play in helping to rebuild the aviation industry to be robust to ongoing challenges, wherever the opportunity presents itself. The session will launch a day of discussions that aims to envision the arc of sustainable, worthwhile business that will be lucrative for aviation and desirable for travellers and wider society.
The one-day Passenger Experience Conference returns ahead of Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) and the co-located World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo, which both return to the Hamburg Messe from 14-16 June 2022.
Polly Magraw, event director for the conference, AIX and WTCE, commented: “We know that the pandemic has fundamentally shifted how the aviation sector does business, with an increased focus on building anew for the future and not simply repairing the past. Experienced and dedicated professionals like Paul are critical in helping the industry respond to the different passenger types while creating flying experiences that meet their needs and address their values, as it is they who will be in the vanguard of the industry’s recovery.”
