JHAS, an Italian company specializing in aviation seats and interiors, has entered into a partnership agreement with TTA (Tecno Tessile Adler), another Italy-based producer of aeronautical products. The agreement will see the two companies jointly design and produce a new range of aircraft seats, spanning economy, premium economy, business and first class.
The staff at JHAS’s headquarters in Latina can handle the design, styling, certification and production of aircraft seats. The R&D department boasts advanced instrumentations for analysis and simulation (FEM, 3D virtual simulator) and a prototype assembly line.
Meanwhile TTA, which is mainly known for its helicopter and automotive interiors products, has a 43,000 sq.ft factory in Airola and 350 employees, and offers design, engineering, development and assembly of aerostructures in metallic materials (Al-Ti-Mg) or composite materials for the major aerospace OEMs.
“We are enthusiastic to have TTA as our industrial partner for this common project,” stated Mario Schisa, CEO of JHAS. “Thanks to the great in-house production capacity and the technological innovation of Adler Group we will be able to offer our customers outstanding products and exclusive assistance in line with our Italian tradition and quality.”
Daniele Romiti, executive vice chairman of TTA and VP of aerospace at its TTA parent company, Adler Group said, “Our strategic goal is to master the entire value chain, and with JHAS we complete our capability in the key component area such as aviation seats. This partnership brings a new strong player to the market.”
