Insperial kicked off the opening day of Aircraft Interiors Expo with big industry news: two acquisitions that will further broaden its capabilities in aircraft surface materials. The group has now acquired MGR Foamtex, a UK-based manufacturer specialising in interior soft goods and advanced passenger upholstery systems. This acquisition is intended to further strengthens Insperial’s position in the cabin market and create synergies with its Perrone Leather and Adhetec brands. Insperial has also acquired Airline Graphics, a supplier of graphics, placards, and data plates for aircraft.
MGR Foamtex, established in 1985, is known for its core cabin interior products including MGRSoftWall, MGRSoftWall NextGen, MGRSafeWall, MPSHybrid, and bespoke finishing options. MGR’s manufacturing expertise will be integrated with Insperial’s global sales and marketing network, to unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Commenting on the acquisition, Les Simpson, chief executive of MGR Foamtex, stated, “We are delighted to become part of the Insperial family. The alignment of our expertise with Insperial’s resources presents a fantastic opportunity for expansion and enhanced customer solutions. The entire acquisition process was seamless, and I commend the Insperial team for their diligence and professionalism.”
Alexis Gabillon, Group CEO of Insperial Group, added: “We are thrilled to welcome MGR Foamtex into the Insperial family. This acquisition represents a significant milestone in our growth strategy, allowing us to leverage MGR Foamtex’s expertise and innovative products to better serve our customers and strengthen our position in the market.”
Meanwhile the Insperial’s acquisition of Airline Graphics expands its manufacturing presence to the United States, complementing the expertise of Adhetec, its France-based subsidiary that specialises in placards, decorative surface laminates, and exterior decals. Airline Graphics, a Boeing-approved supplier, brings additional capabilities that enhance Insperial’s ability to serve major aerospace manufacturers, including Airbus, which is supplied by Adhetec’s Toulouse-based operations.
Airline Graphics also brings further capabilities to Insperial, including capabilities such as Braille printing, warning flags, flight tags, and ultra-durable metal data plates for use in extreme environments.
“The acquisition of Airline Graphics represents a pivotal milestone in Insperial’s evolution into a global leader, uniquely positioned to supply the full spectrum of materials essential for exceptional cabin interiors,” said Alexis Gabillon. “By integrating their expertise, particularly in interior placards and graphic solutions, we will expand our ability to provide innovative and reliable solutions for aerospace and defence applications.”
Insperial is showcasing its expanded capabilities at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, Germany this week (stand 5D46).
