Industrial Neotex, a manufacturer of aircraft interior products including carpets, textile fabrics, seat cushions and leathers, has appointed José Luis Quirós as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. Quirós will succeed Ángel Hernanz, who founded Industrial Neotex in 1986.
Ángel Hernanz introduced several product enhancements during his tenure, including weight reductions, and improvements in durability and overall performance.
José Luis Quirós brings to Neotex a track record of leadership and innovation within the aviation industry. His aviation experience includes serving as chief technology officer (CTO) at Qatar Airways, president of SAEI (Saudi Arabia), CTO of Avianca, and senior vice president of engineering at Iberia, among other prominent roles. His experience spans all facets of aviation, from engineering and technology, to airline operations and leadership.
Quirós has been tasked with enhancing Neotex’s capabilities in several key areas, including optimising Neotex’s production processes and expanding its capacity; driving the development and introduction of new aircraft interior products; developing new customer relationships and strengthening existing partnerships; and driving the development of next-generation aircraft interior products at Industrial Neotex.
