This year’s physical events for Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) and the Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) in Hamburg have been postponed until 14-16 June 2022 due to travel restrictions. However, the show organisers have released initial details of online replacements for the 2021 events.
The organiser, Reed Exhibitions, has set up a digital platform for the events, which will take place online from 14-16 September 2021 to connect professionals from the supply chain of cabin interior and onboard services for three days of online business meetings, up to 30 conference sessions with 70 speakers, and demonstrations of the latest products and services.
Attendees registered for the online event can gain access to a personalised diary, in which they can pre-schedule meetings, watch live conference sessions and browse the latest developments from suppliers. Attendees can also conduct drop-in meetings during the event via a chat function on the platform, with the option to start a video call if required. The event’s smart AI appointment system also allows buyers to match their needs with suppliers and to arrange follow-up meetings.
Passenger Experience Conference
The Passenger Experience Conference will bring together industry thought leaders to discuss the emerging challenges facing the sector as it focuses on recovery from the pandemic. A full programme of topics and speakers will be announced in due course.
Running alongside the conference, tailored sessions for aircraft interiors and onboard catering professionals will also be available. For example, WTCE’s Taste of Travel programme will return, taking a deep dive into the challenges facing the catering and travel retail sectors.
AIX Sessions will also offer inspiration for the cabin interiors, inflight entertainment and passenger comfort industries. All Taste of Travel and AIX Sessions will be available on-demand during the event.
Products and solutions on display
Attendees can also explore new products and solutions from a range of exhibitors across the supply chain, with product demonstrations available. Simply access the product directory to view the full product offering from participating exhibitors.
Polly Magraw, event director at Reed Exhibitions said, “While we all hoped we would be able to meet face-to-face in Hamburg, we’re very excited about the opportunity to bring the high-quality opportunities that both AIX and WTCE are known for, online. We also plan on delivering a programme of content that will provide attendees with tangible learnings they can apply to their business as the industry focuses on recovery. We’re looking forward to sharing more detail on our transition to virtual in due course.”
