The Crystal Cabin Awards, considered by many to be the world’s leading prize for aircraft interiors and on-board products, is extending its scope with a new category which recognizes integrated digital innovations. The category – named ‘Best Customer Journey Experience’ – encompasses passenger-focused products such as smartphone apps relating to air travel, and digital applications that improve product management for airlines, for example.
The category is intended to comprise digital products that help to improve the customer experience throughout the journey, from initial inspiration, to the planning, booking, purchase, pre-trip, departure, in- flight and post-trip stages of the travel ribbon. This includes technical end-to-end solutions across categories including applications, artificial intelligence, tools, devices, software and programs.
The category is not part of the normal entry phase for the Crystal Cabin Awards, which are presented in Hamburg during Aircraft Interiors Expo week in April. Instead, this particular category will be presented on September 24, as part of the APEX Awards at APEX Expo and the Aircraft Interiors Expo Americas events in Boston, USA.
Entries can be submitted online HERE until the end of July. The application phase for the other eight Crystal Cabin Award categories will then begin.
