Airbus has presented FACC with a ‘Best Performer’ supplier award, in recognition of FACC’s work as a technology partner. The award is part of the Supplier Quality Improvement Plan (SQIP) initiative which Airbus has developed together with its premium suppliers to ensure a sustainable, top-quality production system throughout the group and supply chain, as well as across the process chain. The selection criteria includes consideration of whether suppliers can guarantee the highest performance in terms of time and cost efficiency, and proactively provide new and innovative customized solutions that exceed customer expectations.
FACC and Airbus are connected through a successful business relationship that was established more than 30 years ago. Since 2010, FACC has been actively involved in the SQIP program as a technology partner for a range of aircraft programs comprising the Airbus A220, A320neo, A330neo, A350 and A380, supplying advanced lightweight construction systems including aerodynamic components for wings, noise-absorbing and weight-efficient engine components, and comfortable and functional interiors for the Airspace cabins.
“We are very proud of our long-standing partnership with Airbus. The Best Performer Award is a great appreciation for the commitment of the FACC team”, said Andreas Furthmayr, VP of aerostructures at FACC. “Airbus can rely on our continued dedication. FACC’s reputation as a premium manufacturer of lightweight components and systems is based on our pronounced innovative ability and our excellent quality and performance standards throughout the global supply chain. I see great potential for the further extension of our powerful partnership with Airbus in the future.”
