Marilake expands into galley repairs

Marilake Aerosystems, an independent avionics and instrument repair workshop based in Ferndown, Dorset, UK has added galley equipment repairs to its in-house capabilities. The announcement comes as the company moves into a larger workshop within the Peartree Business Centre that has been its home for almost 12 years.

Gerry Griffiths, managing director of Marilake Aerosystems stated, “This is a very exciting addition to our in-house capability. We employ an extremely skilled and highly adaptable team of technicians and having listened to our customers, we identified an opportunity within the marketplace to provide affordably priced and speedy repairs for galley inserts such as ovens, coffee makers and boilers.

“We are continually looking for new opportunities to expand our capabilities and this fitted extremely well within our business strategy. We will continually add to the number of part numbers and units we cover as demand dictates. We continue to invest in OEM-approved test equipment, but wherever possible, our extensive in-house resources are utilised to manufacture simulators and shop aids to maximise efficiency. This helps keep costs to a minimum and achieves the fast turn-times our customers expect,” added Griffiths.

Purchased by Griffiths Aero in 2008, Marilake Aerosystems is an independent provider of instrument and avionics repair and overhaul services. Since the acquisition of Marilake by Griffiths Aero, the company has seen year-on-year growth.
