Bucher has shipped the first set of fully customised galleys and stowages to Airbus Toulouse, for integration into the first Starlux Airlines A330-900neo. The order is under a buyer-furnished-equipment (BFE) agreement.
Starlux is a boutique airline headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, which began operating flights in 2020. According to Bucher, being a boutique airline meant that Starlux paid extra attention to service details, with airline-specific layouts and requirements that were very difficult to meet. The galleys are lightweight, having a lightweight construction of aluminium, composites and carbon fibre.
“We are delighted that Bucher delivered extraordinary galleys and stowages to Starlux’s new A330-900neo aircraft,” the airline said in an announcement.
