Tri-Star Packaging has launched the KC Range, a new addition to its deli pot range that brings what it desccribes as “world-first packaging innovation” to the food-to-go sector that meets growing demand for eco-packaging from consumers and foodservice operators.
The KC Range consists of four round pots and is made from premium high-clarity rPET, partly manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. This material is designed to promote product visibility to consumers, and to be more environmentally friendly than most PET-based packaging. Unlike PET, rPET comes from plastic that has already been used, and has been sorted, cleaned and transformed for reuse instead of going to landfill.
The pots are suitable for containing foods such as pasta, salad, olives, fruit pieces, muesli, noodles and rice. The robust one-size-fits-all lid can be branded and also helps lengthen shelf life and eliminate leakage.
