This summer has seen passengers flying to the Balearic Islands get a little extra pre-holiday buzz, with Red Bull and Immfly delivering an on-board product sampling and brand activation marketing scheme to flyers. Passengers were offered free samples of a new Red Bull Coconut Edition drink, as well as sponsored marketing materials delivered via video streaming on’ personal devices and dedicated IFE channels provided by Immfly’s specialist advertising unit.
After defining a clear target audience paired to specific destinations, thousands of Red Bull Coconut Edition cans were distributed this summer on more than 80 flights to customers en route to Ibiza, Menorca, and Mallorca, with the drinks company hoping to convince a specific customer segment in a captive environment.
All campaigns were monitored and analysed, allowing marketing managers to make better decisions on future actions, with the data collected facilitating optimised campaigns in real-time to maximise ROI.
