The eight steps to STC issuance are:
- Initial Technical Coordination Meeting (ITCM) and Aircraft Survey
- File STC Application with FAA
- Design and Substantiation Data Development
- Receive TIA from FAA or ODA
- Prototype Aircraft Installation
- Inspection and Testing
- Receive FAA STC
