April 29, 2015 – LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, members of LATAM Airlines Group, have inaugurated the largest VIP lounge in South America. The 23,357 square foot lounge, in Santiago’s international airport in Chile, is located on the fourth and fifth floors of the western sector of the airport, with direct access from the LAN and TAM preferential check-in area.
The lounge accommodates 460 people and features restful and relaxing spaces, individual restrooms, showers, laundry and shoe-shining services, a sleeping room, a ‘chaise lounge’ for rest and relaxation, a business center, an entertainment and videogame zone, unique culinary offerings and a wide selection of wines. Hours of operation are from 03:00 – 01:00.
The decor was created by South American designer, Chilean Mathias Klotz, who with the vision of architect Lillian Allen and the global concept generated by Paris-based Studio Putman – were able to execute this project. The space features natural materials, such as marble, onyx and leather, with colors and details that represent South America.
“We are very proud to inaugurate the largest VIP lounge in South America, created to provide our frequent fliers with a relaxing and exclusive experience in an elegant space that highlights the colors, materials, textures, cuisine, and wines of South America,” commented Jerome Cadier, VP of marketing at LATAM Airlines Group. “This is the fourth VIP lounge LATAM Airlines Group has inaugurated in the last two years, a huge step towards consolidating our presence and the quality of our services at airports in the region.”
