Icelandair invests in floorpath lighting systems

January 11, 2016 – Aircraft cabin lighting company, STG Aerospace, has announced that Icelandair has selected its next generation saf-Tglo SuperSeal UltraLite (SSUL) photoluminescent floorpath lighting for its Boeing 767 aircraft, becoming the first B767 operator for this newly certified system.

The airline is also in the process of upgrading its B757 fleet from saf-Tglo SuperSeal Lite (SSL) to the new SSUL version, which is 17% brighter and 70% lighter, and has signed a commitment to purchase 12 B737 MAX aircraft, which Boeing will deliver factory-fitted with SSUL in 2018.
