Delta has updated its Premium Select cabin experience, with new features including locally-inspired dining, hand-crafted amenities and more dedicated service touchpoints – while also driving social impact through its expanded Someone Somewhere partnership.
TheSomeone Somewhere partnership’s aim is to generate 500,000 hours of work annually for indigenous female artisans in remote regions, by directing the production of Delta’s amenity kits – of which there will be an estimated ten million annually –to those regions. Beginning in October, Delta will phase in new handmade amenity kits by Someone Somewhere featuring Grown Alchemist travel essentials.
Premium Select customers will be offered dining options infused with local flavours, including braised beef short rib with fingerling potatoes and dijon green peppercorn jus; Impossible Meatballs with polenta, pomodorini sauce and broccolini; honey harissa chicken thighs with jollof rice and stewed greens, and for dessert, mango mousse with mango passion fruit compote.
These luxuries add to Delta Premium Select (premium economy) class, which includes a wider seat than in standard economy, additional recline and an adjustable footrest and legrest on most long-haul international flights. Delta Premium Select is available on most flights to Europe, including flying on all US routes to the airline’s international hubs in Amsterdam and London.
