Latvian airline, airBaltic, reports that in July 2020 it carried 151,529 passengers from all three Baltic capitals to its network spanning Europe. July was the second full month since the airline resumed operations on 18 May, and this figure represents a 251% increase in passenger traffic over the previous month.
Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic explained, “In July, we carried 2.5 times more passengers than the month before on nearly twice as many flights. From our operations side, we are ready to continue connecting Baltics to the world, but due to Covid-19 rules that are changing daily in Europe we are restricted in reaching the capacity levels we had already planned for July.”
During July 2020, airBaltic operated 2,019 flights. The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic during the month reached a level of 97.1%, meaning that more than 97 out of every 100 airBaltic flights departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
