Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) has added CTT Systems’ cabin humidification system to the cabin catalogue options list for the ACJ TwoTwenty business jet. If selected, the system can be delivered as bolt-on-kit system with STC together with newbuilt (green) TwoTwenty aircraft.
Without a humidification system, a business jet cabin can be below 5% Relative Humidity (RH), which can cause problems such as fatigue, jetlag and dry skin on long-haul flights. The ACJ TwoTwenty humidification system is claimed to overcome such issues, by increasing cabin humidity to above 20% RH.
The TwoTwenty humidification system, developed by CTT in partnership with ACJ, is also designed for minimum weight, efficient anti-condensation protection to eliminate fuselage condensation issues, and to distribute humidified air equally in the extra-large business jet cabin.
“The ACJ TwoTwenty includes a flexible cabin catalogue, opening the Xtra large business jet categories,” said Benoit Defforge, president of ACJ. “As part of this effort, we will promote the humidification system. Because only if humidity is restored to an adequate and ground-like level, passengers can fully benefit from long-haul travel in the best large-cabin business jet on the market.”
