Airbus has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Thai Airways International (THAI) to retrofit the airline’s A350-900 fleet with cabin upgrades. The retrofit programme, when finalised, will be overseen by Airbus.
The programme will involve THAI’s fleet of A350-900 aircraft be equipped with the latest cabin innovations to enhance the travel experience on long-haul routes. The upgrades will include modernised and upgraded seats in Royal Silk business Class, new premium economy class seats and economy class seats, as well as an improved in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. The cabin modernisation work is expected to start from 2028, with the retrofitted aircraft expected to re-enter service in phases to minimise disruption to THAI’s flight operations.
