Townsend leather has introduced a leather collection that borrows inspiration from aquatic sea life.
The latest collection from the US-based leather supplier, which is called Stingray Serenade, has a small-scaled pattern that can be used in headrests and armrests in aircraft. The finish applied to this product makes for a durable, long-lasting life for an upholstery project.
Stingray Serenade draws its inspiration from the ever so mysterious and fascinating sea life. Also known as “Shagreen,” the product is traditionally one of its most popular patterns – offered in an updated, fresh palette of 7 colorways, ranging from neutrals to red, green, and a smoky blue. All of which can be finished in a matte, tone-on-tone tipping or a metallic tipping for additional glimmer and shine.
Townsend is launching this exciting collection as made-to-order leathers, allowing for customization in color, tipping, and contrast. Stingray Serenade offers 14 skus total with the option of two different tipping methods, available in full cowhide (55-60 SFT) with no noticeable matchlines.
The characteristic finish effect of this leather artwork is applied by hand; the resulting variance in design and color are part of its natural beauty. Custom strike-offs for any variation within the collection can be requested and completed at no cost within 10-12 business days.
With the launch of Stingray Serenade, Townsend will be featuring full hides and sampling at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas this October, Booth #1325.
