June 20, 2015 – Recaro Aircraft Seating has honored component and machining supplier Shenzhen Jinming Aerospace Technology, with a ‘Recaro Supplier Award 2015’. The award ceremony took place as part of the seventh Recaro Aircraft Seating Global Supplier Conference in Schwaebisch Hall, Germany on June 18, 2015, in which 150 international companies participated.
Shenzhen Jinming Aerospace Technology received the award due to its performance and product quality. The supplier which is based in Shenzhen, China, produces precision machining components and assemblies for Recaro sites worldwide.
“Each year we choose the best companies from among our 100 most important partners. Selection for the award is based on continuous assessments, which we use to regularly monitor the quality of supplied products, on-time delivery, and overall efficiency,” explained Joachim Ley, EVP of supply chain at Recaro Aircraft Seating. “Shenzhen Jinming Aerospace Technology has proved to meet our standards to a very high degree this year.”
“Recaro Aircraft Seating has continued its course of growth over the past years. Reasons for our success despite the challenging market conditions are the excellent quality of our products and great delivery performance of our international production network. With growing competition, we need to focus more on cost optimization in the future in order to remain successful,” added Dr Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating. “Our aim is to be the best supplier from our customers’ perspective – and we expect the same from our partners. For this reason, we select our global suppliers with great care. Innovation, quality, commitment, and flexibility are the key criteria.”
In addition, two companies have been honored as Recaro Supplier Award 2015 finalists due to their extensive portfolio of products and services catering to the needs of Recaro Aircraft Seating and its customers: Aerofoam Industries (Lake Elsinore, California), a leading global supplier of aircraft seat cushions, dress covers, tray tables, plastics and thermoformed components, and SDV Geis (Frankfurt), a long-term partner which offers international transport services to the Recaro sites around the globe.
