July 9, 2016 – Recaro Aircraft Seating is celebrating a decade of aircraft seat production at its Polish plant in the city of Swiebodzin, located 60 miles (100km) east of Frankfurt/Oder, Germany. The plant was set up in 2006 for the final assembly of aircraft seats, and following the construction of a new complex in 2012, it now extends over 10,000 square meters, with a staff of more than 150.
“Since 2006, with our second plant in Europe, we have established a production site that we have systematically adapted to our requirements and operations processes, in view of ideally meeting our customers’ growing worldwide demand for aircraft seats,” stated Dr Mark Hiller, CEO and shareholder of Recaro Aircraft Seating.
The plant in Swiebodzin has grown into one of Recaro’s ‘best-practice’ sites and a local aftersales site for Eastern Europe, with more than 200,000 seats having been produced at the site, to date.
“Our committed and highly qualified team, combined with proximity to our suppliers, ensures outstanding quality in our production of aircraft seats and enables exceptional delivery reliability for the customers in our global network,” added Thomas Keller, general manager of Recaro Aircraft Seating in Poland.
