Malaysia Airlines has opted for the CL3810 economy-class seat from Recaro Aircraft Seating for its brand-new Airbus A330neo aircraft. More than 5,000 CL3810 seats are set to be delivered for line-fit on the A330neos, starting in Q3 2024 through to 2028.
The CL3810 is the latest addition to the Recaro seating portfolio, and this order makes Malaysia Airlines the first carrier in Southeast Asia to install the CL3810 model.
Recaro says the CL3810 is nearly 15% lighter than its predecessor (the CL3710), with features including seat pitch ranging from 31 to 36 inches, a 6in recline, a 13.3in in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, and individual power access at each seat with type USB-C and USB-A ports. Further comfort is provided by the seat cushions with layered foam and ergonomic technology, a six-way adjustable headrest, a Comfort+ seat bottom with articulation, and a unique slim backrest design that provides an extra inch of knee space. The seats will be dressed in a customised trim and finish, incorporating Malaysia Airlines’ signature songket motif.
“We are thrilled to once again collaborate with Malaysia Airlines, a carrier known for its commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience,” said Dr Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating and Recaro Holding.”
