Geven, the Italy-based aircraft seating manufacturer, made two big customer announcements at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. The first is that the company has signed a deal with Turkish Airlines to supply its Essenza SE lightweight economy seat model for a fleet of 20 aircraft, including Airbus A320ceo and A321ceo models.
Geven has also been selected by Frontier Airlines, the US-based low-cost airline, to design and produce its new premium seats, based on the Comoda model. Marketed by Frontier as First Class seats, the airline will be introducing these more luxurious and spacious seat options in the first two rows of its cabins, with installations expected to begin in late 2025.
Gilles Bussutil, VP of inflight experience at Frontier Airlines said of the project, “As we continue the customer-focused transformation of Frontier Airlines, our new First-Class seats are an important part of our mission to elevate the customer experience. With the highly experienced team at Geven, we are designing seats that blend luxury, comfort and quality.”
