Geven has not only unveiled its new Eterea business-class seat at this week’s Aircraft Interiors Expo, but has also revealed that it is already being offered on ATR regional aircraft as part of the new ATR HighLine all-business-class configuration. Danilo Malacaria, deputy head of programmes at Geven, stated that the seat was conceived as a ‘fellowship’ between ATR and Geven to enhance comfort, privacy, and space for premium seats.
Geven describes Eterea as a ‘significant leap forward’ in passenger comfort in the regional aircraft segment. Key features of the seat include an ergonomic design, a seat width of 21.6in between the armrests, a ‘generous recline’, an optional legrest, and adjustable privacy screens. Perhaps most importantly given the limited overhead cabin baggage capacity in regional aircraft, there is room to stow a large carry-on bag under the seat.
Comfort amenities include USB A+C charging ports, a personal device holder, a large tray table, and an individual side console with built-in stowage compartment.
Zuzana Hrnkova, ATR’s vice president of marketing said of the design: “This new luxury shuttle configuration [HighLine], with the Eterea business seat, will redefine corporate and semi-private travels with an elevated guest experience without compromising on sustainability. The ATR HighLine cabin collection is designed to offer unparalleled comfort, luxury and convenience whilst benefitting from the remarkable fuel efficiency of the turboprop technology.”
