Aviointeriors is expanding its product line with Adagio (from the Italian ad agio, meaning ‘at ease’), a high-density business class seat co-designed with Tangerine and optimized for an eight-abreast LOPA
The surface areas vary between seats, but have been designed to create a broadly similar passenger offer
On a B787 – the narrowest twin-aisle aircraft – the seat would be fitted in a staggered 2-4-2 configuration
The angled IFE screen position gives passengers freedom to move around once they enter their seat space, and when the passenger is seated the angle of the bevel provides an optimum viewing distance for the screen
The overall seat construction has been designed to enable rapid customization of the design language
According to Ermanno De Vecchi, CEO of Aviointeriors, the next step is to have Adagio available for installation on aircraft by April 2018
On wider-bodied jets, the increased aisle access would givesufficient extra space room to add additional features such as sliding doors that can turn Adagio into a mini-suite
A 16in-wide footwell affords comfort to taller passengers
The outboard window and inboard center seats provide the airline with the option of an extended bed length
There is also a slide-out single-leaf meal table, which is generously sized and robust, it can be readily accessed by cabin crew from an aisle-side position for deployment
Stowage options give opportunities for customization
