Switzerland-based maintenance and completion services provider, AMAC Aerospace, has been awarded its first completion contract from an Asian-based client. The aircraft, an ACJ A319, will undergo a complete nose to tail completion using designs provided by interior designer Alberto Pinto. The completion project is anticipated to start in summer 2014 and will be re-delivered by Q2 2015. The work will be carried out at the EuroAirport Basel, Switzerland, in one of AMAC’s purpose built hangars.
The aircraft interior will feature exclusive materials such as mother of pearl paint for the exterior, earth colour leathers for the interior furnishings, black lacquers for top and side surfaces, and champagne gold satins for plating. Carbon fibre elements including seats, sofas, side ledges and tables will be used for interior style accents. The interior will feature 10 business-class seats, night configuration for sleeping, one VIP shower, two VIP lavatories (pictured right), and a VIP aft galley.
For communications and entertainment, the SATCOM system will be enhanced to allow ground-to-air and air-to-ground calls and use of the internet. A Passenger Visual Information System, camera systems, an anti-intrusion system, and an array of AVOD and IFE systems will also be incorporated.
