Oman Air has received its first Boeing 737 MAX, which has been delivered in a two-class, 162-seat configuration. The airline is not sharing exact details of the cabin yet, but it has indicated that the aircraft – the first of 30 Oman Air has on order – has been fitted with 12 customized business class seats that feature electric controls, as well as greater privacy and enhanced trim and finishes compared with the airline’s current Boeing 737 business class product.
All passengers will benefit from the Boeing Sky Interior specification, as well as new IFE systems, with 17in Thales Avant Gen V, touchscreen monitors in business, and 10.2in versions in economy, and high-powered USB ports at each seat.

Oman Air ordered 20 MAX airplanes in October 2015 and has since entered into a lease agreement for 10 more. The new aircraft will grow the Muscat-based carrier’s fleet of 27 B737s and seven B787 Dreamliners.
