March 20, 2015: Later this year, business class passengers onboard SWISS will betreated to uniquely seasonal ‘Winter Collection’ amenity kits from Formia, which reflect the heritage, alpine terrain and winter sports commonly associated with Switzerland. The winter comfort items include “wearables” – a trendy beanie hat and a neck warmer, both offered on flights into Switzerland. On flights from Switzerland, “carriables” are offered – attractive felt bags, including an iPad case made from recycled pet bottles. There will also be a special Christmas festive sock on board in December. All of the items contain comfort items such as lip balm, anti-slip socks, terry-cotton eyeshades, earplugs, branded dental products, and Ricola throat lozenges. In the warmer months, a bespoke summer seasonal offering will also be available.
As Sarah Klatt-Walsh, director of inflight products and services at SWISS said, “We wanted to bring something very new and different to the onboard amenity offering, and our new seasonal collection enables this beautifully. Our goal was to create more unique, yet recognizably Swiss products for the winter which are sustainable and that provide a second use after the flight. FORMIA did a great job in developing this concept with us.”
