February 26, 2016 – PaxLife has announced a partnership with MRO provider GMF AeroAsia to promote and deploy Cloud10 mobile application technology. The technology, developed by PaxLife, will enable passengers to seamlessly access wireless Inflight Entertainment (wIFE) through passenger devices.
The Cloud10 mobile application supports a variety of user-friendly services such as free instant messaging, flight information update, online shopping, events and destination reservations and mobile gaming.
“The Cloud10 mobile application developed by PaxLife addresses a fundamental issue, “How can airlines connect with passenger devices without the need to invest millions of dollars to install, maintain and operate an inflight entertainment system?” said Juliandra Nurtjahjo, GMF’s director of line operations. “PaxLife has developed a relevant technology that is highly cost efficient and yet provides important ancillary revenue for airlines”.
In addition to an array of MRO services, GMF AeroAsia aims to leverage its hangar facilities to provide a highly efficient retrofit and installation service of the PaxLife wIFE solution to partnering airlines.
“We are excited in partnering with GMF AeroAsia to help airlines to engage with and entertain passengers” said Ralf Cabos, founder of PaxLife. “We were impressed with GMF’s facilities at Soekarno- Hatta being one of the largest in South East Asia, and their vision to become a leading MRO. We have a trusted partner that will deploy our Cloud10 mobile application to provide passengers with seamless access to entertainment streaming of local and international contents in HD format, transact and make reservations with our partnering brands and services providers and most importantly, integrate with airlines’ ticketing and loyalty programs”.
