The Leather Institute [TLI] has announced a business partnership agreement with US-based Jennsco that will see TLI become the exclusive worldwide distributor of mPale. mPale is an EPA-registered antimicrobial engineered to alleviate concerns about germs on seatback tray tables, seatback IFE displays, or any other surface that passengers may come in contact with. This product is claimed to offer 30-90 days protection on high use areas, while on other surfaces the product is much longer lasting and can be applied every 12 months, according to TLI.
The treated surface can be cleaned without affecting the efficacy of the mPale. It can also be applied to air filters to help prevent airborne bacteria. This product is safe for all substrates on board aircraft including plastic, leather, carpet, polycarbonate, metal and other composite surfaces.
