April 6, 2017 – China Eastern Airlines has selected STG Aerospace’s saf-Tglo SSUL (SuperSeal UltraLite) PatternMatch photoluminescent emergency floor path marking system for retrofit on 125 of its Boeing 737NG aircraft, as well as becoming line-fit for its latest new aircraft deliveries from Boeing. The first 737 aircraft will be delivered from Boeing in June 2017, and the first retrofit kits have already been dispatched to China Eastern.
The PatternMatch system is designed to exactly match the color and pattern of a customer’s carpet, making it virtually invisible under normal daylight conditions. Only in the event of a lighting system failure does the system glow to perform its function of illuminating the path to the exits. PatternMatch is available either with a green or blue glow.
