RX, the organisers of World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE), have secured more than 40 new exhibitors that will debut at the 2025 event in Hamburg on 8-10 April. These new names will join a wide range of regular exhibitors, offering everything from gourmet snacks and beverages, to sustainable options, all designed to enhance the onboard experience for passengers.
Sustainability is one of the biggest challenges facing the aviation industry, and there is growing recognition that it must be addressed through an industry-wide effort. Several of the new WTCE exhibitors will be focusing on sustainability at the 2025 event.
Specialising in 100% recyclable and landfill biodegradable plastics, BioNatur Plastics will be showing its sustainable onboard packaging solutions. From cabin waste bags to sanitary plastic covers for pillows and blankets, BioNatur’s products are designed to help airlines meet stringent environmental standards.
Another new exhibitor has a focus on food science, nutrition and sustainability. Østerberg Food Service will showcase its range of organic and sugar-free beverages. Its fruit-based drinks are made with 60% to 100% real fruit, and contain no refined sugars, to create a natural and healthy option.
Onboard indulgence
In response to the continued demand for premium onboard food offerings, The Mallows is set to bring something new to the table with its gourmet organic marshmallows. The interesting flavours and vibrant design, combined with natural, high-quality ingredients, offer a sophisticated twist on a traditional confection.
For attendees searching for new premium beverages to add to the onboard menu, Off Piste Wines will present a selection of wines, including Most Wanted Wines, The Wanderer, and Pinot Pinot, all of which have been designed to cater to the evolving tastes of the modern passenger.
Innovations in travel retail
Travel retail is undergoing a transformation, with new technologies and product offerings that enhance the onboard shopping experience.
As global experts in travel retail, Tourvest Retail Services will highlight its technological solutions to airlines looking to provide an enhanced and personalised customer experience. Tourvest has a focus on efficiency, speed and creativity to drive revenue through curated onboard retail experiences.
Commenting on the 2025 WTCE lineup, Shona Thomson, event director at WTCE, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome a range of new companies to WTCE next year and provide them with the opportunity to showcase their products to the world’s major airlines. Each exhibitor will bring a unique offering that taps into key industry trends like sustainability, wellbeing, special meals, nutrition, and technology, all feeding into enhanced passenger satisfaction.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to WTCE 2025, which promises to deliver the latest products and services helping to shape the future of travel catering and onboard services.”
