Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has signed a deal with PressReader for access to its digital newspaper and magazine platform. The PressReader platform will be integrated into the Vietnam Airlines app and the content made available for passengers to access 24 hours prior to their scheduled flight, and 24 hours after landing.
After entering their flight information in the app, passengers will be given access to the airline’s inflight magazine, Heritage, as well as thousands of other titles from more than 120 countries in over 70 languages. As a result of this new partnership, PressReader has loaded additional local Vietnamese content into its digital catalogue and updated the user interface on both the web and apps to include Vietnamese as a supported language.
Trinh Hong Quang, executive vice president at Vietnam Airlines noted that the offering of digital services rather than printed magazines will help the airline reduce paper use and transport load of the aircraft.
