The Flying-V has been conceived by TU Delft and KLM as a highly energy-efficient long-distance airplane. Computer calculations have predicted that the aircraft’s improved aerodynamic shape and reduced weight would reduce fuel consumption by 20% compared to today’s most advanced aircraft.
