Burrana has announced the appointment of Chris Brady as a non-executive board director, effective 2 September. Burrana is the new brand name for digEcor, following the company’s acquisition of the commercial IFE business interests of Collins Aerospace, which made it the third-largest player in the IFE market.
Brady is best know in recent years for co-founding UK-based Acro Aircraft Seating in 2007, which he sold in 2017 to Zhejiang Tiancheng Controls. He does bring experience in the IFE sector, having also co-founded FlightStore in 2000, an IFE software business that provided online shopping via seatback monitors. Brady also has experience gained during his 10-year tenure at Virgin Atlantic, where he was general manager for product development, responsible for innovation across the entire passenger experience, including IFE and seating.
