Global Eagle has integrated Apple Pay into its Airtime Portal, which enables passengers to use one-touch biometric authorised payment methods with Apple Pay-enabled devices. For airlines, this means that passengers can use Face Unlock and Touch ID to easily and quickly make purchases such as inflight wi-fi access. The system has also secured an airline customer with Southwest Airlines.
