Delta is celebrating a landmark IFE moment, having installed seatback entertainment on its 600th aircraft. According to the airline, Delta has more aircraft with seatback entertainment than any other airline, and it still offers access to its Delta Studio IFE system free of charge to all customers in all classes of travel. In addition to investing in seat-back entertainment, customers can choose to stream Delta Studio to their personal devices on the airline’s entire mainline fleet and most regional aircraft.
“We continue to invest in seat-back screens, because customers continue to tell us they’re important,” said Tim Mapes, Delta’s SVP and chief marketing officer. “With seat-back screens, customers don’t have to choose between using their phones or watching a movie. Whether they want to work, relax, or a little bit of both — we want to give our customers the ability to choose and make the most of their time in flight.”
This month sees something a little special on Delta’s Studio system, with the airline having partnered with NEON to show the highly anticipated documentary, Three Identical Strangers, inflight at the same time the documentary is debuting in theaters on the ground.
