TFC – Industry aerospace manager

East Sussex, UK

The Industry Manager Aerospace is the champion for TFC's aerospace products in Europe and will use his/her personal efforts and also seek to persuade colleagues to build up and then maximize sales and margins.

The Industry Manager Aerospace is responsible for facilitating the aerospace planning, marketing, sales and operations including: defining the aerospace vision for the European market and creating the aerospace business plan and working closely with both UK and German support teams in the TFC technical businesses i.e. TFC Heathfield and TFC Bochum, and closely liaising with general and commercial managers to ensure sales targets and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The Industry Manager Aerospace will: 

1. Define the aerospace marketing and sales development strategy for Europe for TFC’s aerospace fastener, component and support services offering (aerospace products)
2. Define, plan and work with colleagues to set up the operational and supply chain infrastructure to support this strategy
3. Produce and implement a business plan (BP) for aerospace products in Europe that meets the TFC Board requirements
4. Produce an annual budget for aerospace products in Europe to support the TFC board plans consistent with the BP
5. Personally be involved in specific business development opportunities to ensure BP objectives are achieved. Win some key business to build up the business
6. Ensure individual business teams are equipped and motivated to achieve BP goals
7. Work with the operational teams to ensure that the TFC DLF and Kan Ban delivery systems are adapted to suit aerospace customers
8. Report on progress against aerospace BP in Europe to the TFC board by presenting comprehensible analysis and KPIs
9. Be an expert in developments in the aerospace industry relating to fasteners ensuring TFC’s offering is adapted to market developments
10. Produce application stories and copy to support the companies PR effort, and to work with TFC Group marketing manager to achieve the promotion objectives of the BP for aerospace products
11. Develop and grow the business of aerospace products in Europe by recruiting, briefing and training the sales force and internal team according to the BP
12. Perform aerospace demonstrations to customers at their premises and TFC-attended exhibitions
13. To support the TFC Board in analyzing the market for other aerospace products that TFC could supply
14. To support the TFC Board in whatever projects or developments with existing or new business in Europe

Skill set required
• Have thorough knowledge of the market, key customers, key suppliers and technology relating to the aerospace fastener and related products
• Have the ability to organize everything concerned with the aerospace sector development
• Good analytical skills to enable KPI reporting and monitoring of progress.
• Have good leadership skills to supervise those involved with each stage in the development and manufacturing process
• To be able to act independently and alone
• Possess a creative way of thinking
• Have the ability to focus on specific goals
• Be energetic and passionate about TFC’s aerospace opportunities
• Be able to work under pressure
