Dublin Aerospace – Aircraft cabin technician/trimmer

Complementing this, we also offer a comprehensive portfolio of technical training courses.

We currently have a vacancy for a Cabin Technician/Trimmer in our Base Maintenance Department. Reporting to the check/zone leader, the successful candidate will perform all aspects of aircraft cabin maintenance and rectification work.

Main duties include:
• Perform duties as assigned by check/zonal leader, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery requirements of the customer
• Ensure that documents being used are correct and up to date
• Ensure that all work done is signed for in accordance with the approved data and company procedures
• Ensure that all work and duties assigned are completed in a timely and professional manner to ensure that the out date of the aircraft is maintained and also to maximize output
• Ensure all materials used are recorded both for commercial and technical purposes
• Operate so that there are minimum audit findings and where findings exist, assist with corrective action
• Ensure proper use of all personal protective clothing and equipment as required and provided
• Be prepared to undertake other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the company from time to time

• General cabin interiors strip/build & rectification work including:

- Carpet replacement including cutting and edge binding/over-locking 
- Galley/Lav area NTF/coin-mat replacement including sealing and welding
- Passenger seats inspection/rectification
- Refurbishment work including replacement of interior decorative foils (Tedlar)

Essential requirements:
• Possess the required hand skills to perform typical tasks associated with the job
• Ability to read and comply with repairs and instructions from the relevant manual
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands at short notice
• Ability to work within a team
• Ability to interpret and apply requirements of maintenance manuals and other technical data
• Possess good sense of commercial awareness
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn and implement new systems
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Be able to pass a five-year security background check
• Permitted to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction

Desired requirements:
• Have a national craft certificate or an equivalent relevant technical qualification
• Previous experience working in cabins of A320/B737 aircraft

Competitive salary offered €40k+ depending on performance
