Your tasks:
• In this position you will drive the Recaro knowledge base on safety belts, torso restraint systems, seat and seatbelt-mounted airbags, as well as structure-mounted airbag systems
• You will be supporting both business class and economy class platforms with solutions defined within your field of expertise
• Market, customer and competitor analyses form an important part of your tasks
• You will be responsible for product development and product improvement throughout the lifecycle according to the defined strategy
• With your expertise in passenger safety systems you will be the focal point for our customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• You will support the Recaro sales forces through training and on-site representation
• You will collaborate deeply with Recaro engineering departments to ensure a certifiable design of complete seating systems
• You will participate at conferences of the SAE Seat Committee with the aim to define and standardize relevant requirements

Your profile:
• You have graduated as Master in aeronautical engineering or equivalent.
• You have at least five years’ experience as senior development engineer within the field of aircraft or automotive passenger restraint systems
• You have deep knowledge in the development of Safety Belts and Torso Restraint Systems.
• You have deep knowledge in the development of aircraft passenger seat-mounted, seatbelt-mounted and aircraft structure-mounted airbag systems
• Knowledge ip Pretensioning Systems both for Safety Belts as well as Torso Restraint Systems is desirable
• Practical knowledge in the application of TSO/ETSO-C22 and TSO/ETSO-C114 is required
• Intermediate knowledge of testing and certification aspects is required
• While being an engineer, you consider strategy, creativity as well as entrepreneurship
• Business fluency in English is required, while German is desirable
